I’m a certified professional and organisational solution-focused coach, working predominantly in the LGBTQ+ and ecology/sustainability fields. I work with individuals and organisations, focusing mostly on working with charities and other not-for-profit organisations.

As a solution-focused coach, I believe that you (the client) have all the knowledge within you to create your best life and desired future. I see my role as your partner in discovering the resources you hold and designing your next steps. I don’t interpret, judge or assume the role of an expert in the field. Together we focus on understanding your future and what it takes to get there (hence solution-focused) rather than creating a narrative about why the problem arose.

I have nearly two decades of experience working in the LGBTQ+ area: as a counsellor and trainer, taking telephone calls at a helpline and working on prevention campaigns – even regularly cooking meals on a Sunday morning for members of our community.

Born in Germany, I’ve worked in many places around the world, including the UK, Spain, Australia, Portugal, Hong Kong and Belgium. I’m an active researcher with a focus on the intersections of LGBT communties and ecology and social justice. I hold a PhD in cross-cultural psychology and have over 100 academic publications, including 11 books, various book chapters, journal articles, conference presentations etc.

As a professional coach, I’m a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I served two years on the board of ICF Germany: I was responsible for the Diversity Inspiration Initiative, celebrating diversity in professional coaching and the accreditation of ICF as a sustainable organisation within the Economy for the Common Good framework.
I’m a member of the Climate Coaching Alliance. I served for two years as coordinator on the CCA’s global strategy group and coordinated the Germany and Portugal regional groups.
